A travel basket has been long overdue for our family roadtrips. I know we can all relate to needing items when we are on the road and not wanting to pull over. This year, I made it a goal to prepare a travel basket for future travel and store it in our car to have at all times and simple update it when it need.

During our last roadtrip, my husband ask did I pack the paper towels. Then the hand-sanitizer. Haha. I am usually on top of things and he is also really great at preparing things for our travel. However, this time around, we both forgot a few things.
I knew moving forward that I would make sure we were prepared for the next roadtrip, which would probably be coming sooner than later. The first thing I purchased was a basket to hold- all the things. I am a big advocate for organizing with baskets and thought it would be the perfect way to store our items. The idea would be to place it in the backseat on the floor so it could in close proximity if any one of us needed it.
The first thing I did was write a list of essentials that we have used during our past travel and it consist of the following:
Paper Towels
Lysol Disinfectant Wipes
Lysol Spray
Car Spray
Car Freshener
Hand-Sanitizer
Oral Floss
Gum & Mints
Lotion
Plastic Utensils
First Aid Kit
After I was done with the list and picking up all the items, I simple purchased some Premium Polyester Fiber Fill. It works great for stuffing pillows, stuff toys, and baskets, and other crafts. I placed the fiberfil at the bottom of the basket to keep the items in tact and place everything inside the basket and just like that-our travel basket was future roadtrips was ready to go!

I may add more essentials to this list in the future if our needs change but for now, this is it! Remember, everyone is different and your needs may not be the same as our needs so if you decide to prepare a basket for you next roadtrip, place items inside that works for you and your family.
