Efficient Kitchen Organization for a Neat Home: Part I

Kitchens are often called the "The Heart of the Home" and the place in your home where most memories are made and keeping it orderly is something I strive for in my kitchen on a daily basis. To get my kitchen organized, I simply started with one project at a time, one day at a time. Below are 5 quick and simple ways I keep my kitchen organized.

Glass jars with white minimalist pre-printed labels

I purchased some green glass jars from World Market and I placed my oil and vinegar inside. I then purchased White Minimalist Organizing Preprinted Labels from Amazon. They were perfect for categorization for this jar set. They are very modern and aesthetically pleasing to place next to the stove area. I also love that they weren't your standard clear glass jars but were green in color to match the rest of the home and kitchen aesthetics.

Investing in a soap dispenser set for our kitchen countertop made all the difference in creating a neat and tidy look. This one in particular was purchased from Amazon. There were so many different options to choose which was so satisfying to say the least. When I tell you it made all the difference. Not seeing the dish detergent container and hand soap containers has been the change I didn't know I needed in my life!

Coffee drawer organization with clear acrylic containers from Dollar Tree

When you have a husband that is an avid coffee drinker, having a coffee station is a must. We are very limited on countertop space and honestly I prefer to keep the countertops as minimalist as possible. To organize the k-cups, I invested in some very inexpensive clear containers from my local Dollar Tree. I then installed some drawer liner in the drawer before placing the containers inside and just like that, everything looked so nice and neat.

Tea and measuring utensil organization using plastic containers from Dollar Tree

We are also avid tea drinks (no sugar I might add), so we needed a space to keep our tea collection orderly. In addition, I need a space to hold the tea and measuring utensils. After careful consideration, I ultimately decided to use the same drawer to hold both since the drawers were large on this buffet. I found some white plastic containers from my local Dollar Tree just as I did the clear acrylic containers for the K-cups. However, what I loved the most about these organizers were the size and the fact that they keep the tea packs together perfectly!

The utensil and flatware drawer is one of the easiest spaces to get out of order because we are constantly in and out of it daily. To control this area more, I invested in a quality utensil drawer organizer. It keeps all utensils separated and in tact. I also got rid of utensils that my family and I are no longer using. This is a quick simple organization method that can be done in under 20 minutes and good project to start first in your kitchen.

That wraps up Part I of my simple inexpensive ways to get your kitchen organized. From glass jar sets to drawer organizers, creating a neat and tidy kitchen can be quick and relatively easy to achieve. Stay tuned for Part II.
